For some time now, mold has been a hot topic in the insurance industry. In fact, the last statistic that I could locate indicated that in 2002, there were over 300,000 mold related property claims - quite a staggering number. Many now feel that the potential for agents to face E&O claims involving mold is growing. What has changed to prompt this? Let' s take a look.

Question for the agency personnel - when one of your customers stops in for insurance, are you going to add the exposure to the auto or homeowners policy (based on the exposure) or are you going to recommend a separate policy?

Most agency owners and staff would agree that advances in automation have greatly increased our dependence on technology. The benefits of automation are easily identified, however, with increased efficiency at the top of the list.
